Privacy

Privacy policy, including your health data.

Last updated: September 5, 2026

NeuroEdge.Health is a directory and publication, not a medical provider. That said, when you use our matching quiz you tell us things about your health — and we treat that information with the seriousness it deserves. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and the rights you have over it.

What we collect

Contact details. When you use the matching quiz, a contact form, the newsletter, or the members waitlist, we collect the name, email, phone number, and city you give us.

Consumer health data. The matching quiz asks about topics that can reveal information about your physical or mental health — for example, whether you're exploring treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, or focus concerns, what treatments you've tried, and what you're interested in next. Under laws like Washington's My Health My Data Act, this is "consumer health data," and we treat it accordingly throughout this policy.

Usage data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics infrastructure records standard technical information such as pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring links.

Why we collect it

We use the information above to:

  • Suggest clinics that fit the answers you gave in the quiz
  • Respond to your enquiries and send the shortlist you asked for
  • Send the newsletter or member updates you explicitly signed up for
  • Operate, secure, and improve the site
  • Meet legal obligations

We do not use your quiz answers to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your personal information or your consumer health data to anyone.

Consent for consumer health data

We collect consumer health data only with your explicit, affirmative consent. The matching quiz does not submit your answers until you tick a consent checkbox confirming you understand what you're sharing and why. That consent is voluntary — you can browse the directory, read every guide, and contact clinics directly without ever taking the quiz.

Where we would ever want to use consumer health data for a purpose not covered by that consent, we will ask for separate consent first.

Who we share it with

Clinics — only when you ask. We never pass your details to a clinic without asking you first. If you ask us to make an introduction, we share only what's needed to make it.

Service providers. We use a small number of vendors to run the site — hosting, database, email delivery, and our newsletter platform. They process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share consumer health data with advertisers, data brokers, or social platforms.

Your rights over your health data

Depending on where you live — including under Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar state laws — you have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we hold consumer health data about you and access a copy
  • Withdraw the consent you gave us
  • Ask us to delete your consumer health data
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

We extend these rights to every user, wherever you live. To exercise any of them, email info@neuroedge.health with the subject line "Privacy request." We will respond within 30 days. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and if your appeal is denied you may complain to your state attorney general.

How we protect it

Data is stored in an access-controlled database with row-level security. Quiz answers and enquiry details are visible only to authorized NeuroEdge.Health administrators — they are not publicly accessible, and clinic partners cannot browse them. Access is limited to people who need it to operate the service.

No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach of unsecured health-related information ever occurs, we will notify affected users and the appropriate regulators as required by law, including under the FTC's Health Breach Notification Rule.

How long we keep it

We keep quiz and enquiry data for up to 24 months so we can follow up on your request and improve matching, then delete or de-identify it. Newsletter and member signup data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.

Third-party links and clinics

Our directory links to clinic websites we don't operate. Their privacy practices are their own — once you leave NeuroEdge.Health, this policy no longer applies, and we encourage you to read the clinic's own policy before sharing health information with them.

Children

NeuroEdge.Health is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and our quiz is not designed for use on behalf of minors.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information or consumer health data, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes to how we use consumer health data will only apply going forward and, where required, with fresh consent.
